The interior decorating brief for this 1930′s two bedroom apartment was to bring it into the 21st century, so that it could expect a solid rental return.
The budget was modest and as a new kitchen and bathroom were at the top of the list, we tried to be clever in other areas.
The dark stained doors, skirtings and picture rails made this north facing, elevated apartment unnecessarily dark.
We used a warm, grey paint colour throughout, and crisp, white paint for all the woodwork and doors.
New pewter door furniture, replacing the beer glass in the original, solid doors with opaque or clear glass made a huge difference, without costing the earth.
All new ceiling lights and roman blinds also in grey tones also helped brighten this apartment.
